Division & Area Director Resources

Congratulations on being elected or appointed as a Division Director or Area Director! You are important leaders in the district with direct contact with every club. Below you'll find training information and the resources every Division and Area Director needs to lead with confidence.

Division & Area Director Training

As a Division or Area Director, your training session is where you'll get the tools to lead with confidence. Expect at least four focused hours covering your role, how to run effective club visits, support contest planning, and connect clubs with District resources. You'll learn directly from experienced leaders and walk away with practical strategies — not just theory

This training isn't just a requirement; it's your foundation for a successful year. The clubs in your Area or Division are counting on you, and this session equips you to do exactly that. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and connect with fellow leaders!

Training starts in July, early in your Toastmasters year as Area or Division Director. Dates and locations can be found on the District Calendar.

D217 is still recruiting Area Directors throughout the district. Serving as an Area Director fulfills one of the six requirements for earning a DTM.
