Every Toastmasters meeting features structured roles that give members a chance to practice speaking, listening, and leadership.

Toastmaster

Introduces role-bearers, ensures the meeting starts and ends on time.

Table Topics Master

Leads the Table Topics session, asking members to speak on a topic.

General Evaluator

Calls on evaluators and provides an evaluation of the meeting as a whole.

Speaker

Delivers a prepared speech (typically 5-7 minutes) from Pathways.

Evaluator

Provides a 2-3 minute evaluation focusing on the goals of the speaker's project.

Ah-Counter

Tracks filler words used by members and presents a report.

Grammarian

Tracks good and incorrect usage of language and presents a report.

Timer

Times all speakers and evaluators and gives time signals and a report.

Wordmaster

Presents a word, its meaning and usage, and tracks correct usage throughout the meeting.
